What is ocular.ink

ocular.ink is a browser workspace for live visuals and projection mapping. Mix shaders, video, titles, and 3D on a laptop, map them onto walls, and drive the show from audio, MIDI, DMX, or a tablet — without installing a traditional VJ suite.

Open the app in Brave, Chrome, or Edge on a desktop. Guests can run a full local show. Pro is $20 USD / month and removes the watermark plus cloud, library, and Pro layers.

First 10 minutes

  1. Continue without an account if the signup nag appears.
  2. SESSION → New → 1080p → Create.
  3. Channel 1 → + Clip → New → layer icon → Fractal or GLSL Shader.
  4. Click the clip pad so it lights cyan. Watch Master.
  5. Audio → allow microphone → Start capture.
  6. Output → Detect screens → map corners → Launch.
  7. Save with the red floppy. There is no autosave.

Guest vs Pro

Everyone gets the local Editor, surface mapping, audio, MIDI, the tablet remote, and on-device AI Auto VJ. Master output is watermarked for guests.

Pro unlocks USB-DMX, Mesh Group, Live Camera, AI Layer, Control Cue, clip library, cloud save, Upload, Generate, ratings, and Backup. Generate spends a separate credit balance.
