Local tools: sessions, the free Editor layers, surface mapping, Launch output windows, audio, MIDI, tablet remote, and on-device AI Auto VJ. Master output is watermarked. USB-DMX, Mesh Group, Live Camera, AI Layer, Control Cue, and clip library are Pro. The shared library is browse-only except Free downloads. No cloud save, Upload, Generate, ratings, or Backup menu. Everything lives in this browser — clearing site data deletes the show.

Header Sign In. New accounts go through Upgrade to Pro — $20 USD / month: name, email, password, the terms (scroll to the bottom to accept), and a card. There is no free signup and no trial. Pro removes the watermark and unlocks USB-DMX, Pro layers, clip library, cloud save, library writes, ratings, Generate, and Backup. AI credits are a separate purchase.

Avatar → Settings: display name and avatar, change password, AI credits (balance + top-up), storage usage, machine licenses, danger zone, Sign Out. Password reset by email is available from the sign-in form.

Machine licenses

Your Pro account can run more than one machine at once. Each machine needs its own machine license, a separate $20 USD / month subscription billed from the day you add it. You start with one license (the machine you signed up on).

Avatar → Settings → Machine Licenses shows how many you have. Add machine license — $20/mo bills your saved card and immediately activates another machine for that account; your sign-in works on all licensed machines simultaneously. Cancel on a license (confirm with your password) stops that machine's billing right away — the account stays Pro as long as at least one license remains active. Cancelling your last license deactivates the account.

If the subscription lapses, the account is deactivated: you are signed out and cannot sign back in until you resubscribe to reactivate it. Your cloud data remains intact while deactivated.

Backup

Signed-in avatar menu → Backup:

  • Export — downloads ocular-backup-YYYY-MM-DD.ocular-backup (a zip of your local sessions, shaders, and asset files).
  • Import — accepts .ocular-backup or .zip and merges into local data (same-ID items are overwritten, nothing else is wiped).
  • Clear All — destroys all local data after a confirm. Export first.
