Timeline

Editor-only dock, per clip. Arm with the On switch in the dock header or the clip pad ⋮ → Timeline On.

Transport: play/pause, stop (back to 0), loop, and snap (magnet — seeks and keyframes snap to beats when a BPM exists). Status badges show timecode, bars.beats, and OFF / ARMED / PLAY / PAUSE. Duration is set in Bars (1–64) or Time (seconds); Fit bars stretches playback rate to land exactly on a bar count.

Keyframes

Add KF (available while armed) lists every keyframable property of the clip: layer opacities, the clip camera (FOV/position/target/orbit), video/plane transforms, fractal parameters, title transforms and font size, numeric shader uniforms, Mesh Group mesh transforms, light position/intensity/color, look (fog density, bloom, exposure, SSAO), and Control Cue DMX / MIDI values. The ◆ diamond next to a control in the inspector writes a keyframe for that parameter at the playhead.

Keyframes are draggable diamonds on their tracks. Select one to edit time, value, and easing: Linear, Ease In, Ease Out, Ease In-Out, Step. You need at least two keyframes with different values to see motion.

What locks when

  • Armed (on, not playing) — for that clip only: no adding/removing layers and no attaching or changing media. Parameters stay editable and keyframeable.
  • Playing — the clip's parameters are driven by keyframes and the inspector is locked for it. Pause to edit. Other clips are unaffected.
  • Turn Timeline Off to add or remove layers again.

The playhead is ephemeral — it is never saved. The score (tracks, keyframes, duration, loop, on/off) saves with the clip. Triggering the pad restarts an armed timeline from 0.
