Sessions

A session is a saved show: name, aspect, render resolution, channels/clips/layers, and mapper surfaces. Asset files are not stored inside it — only references.

Create

Session column → New.

  • Create New — name (blank becomes Untitled Session), aspect ratio (16:9, 16:10, 4:3, 21:9, or custom W:H), and render resolution. Presets run from VGA 640×480 up to 8K UHD 7680×4320 per aspect; typing a custom width or height auto-computes the other to keep the ratio. Default is 1920×1080.
  • From Library — load Shared Sessions (and My Sessions when signed in).

A new session starts with Channel 1, Channel 2, Master, and Crossfade — all empty. One output screen ("Main Output", 1920×1080) is preconfigured.

Render resolution is the mix size (previews + mapping canvas). Output windows copy this mix — they do not re-render at the display's native resolution. Screen pixel sizes drive the mapping plane; launch windows open at a quarter of the main screen, not at the display's native size.

Save

  • Any channel or mapper edit shows a after the name and a red floppy. What is saved: channels (including freeze, blackout, A/B/O group, opacity, per-channel Post FX) and surfaces. What is not saved: mute, solo, crossfader position, A/B bus Post FX, audio and MIDI prefs, and workspace layout — those are performance/app state.
  • Switching or creating while dirty asks Unsaved changes: Cancel, Don't save, Save. There is no autosave.
  • Closing the tab while dirty triggers the browser warning.

Cloud

Signed-in only. Cloud icon on a session card → Save to Cloud. Missing asset files upload first; uploads over 50 MB show a Large upload warning. If the cloud copy is newer you get a Cloud version is newer alert — saving overwrites it. After success the card shows a green Cloud badge.

Cloud saves start Private. Share from Library → My Sessions → open the session → Manage → visibility Shared.

Loading someone else's shared session creates an unlinked local copy. Loading your own cloud session when a linked local copy exists offers Overwrite (update local from cloud) or Save as New ("Name (Copy)", no cloud link).

Duplicate, edit, delete

Copy icon duplicates instantly as "Name (Copy)" with the cloud link removed. Pencil edits name, description, aspect, and resolution. Trash deletes immediately — there is no confirmation and no dirty-check. Export a backup before housekeeping.
