Troubleshooting

  • Rail icons wait for a session — create or open a session first. Only Editor works without one.
  • Black output — add a Clip, click the layer icon on that pad to add a layer, then click the pad so it lights cyan. A selected clip is not a triggered clip.
  • Lost work — hit the red floppy before switching sessions; there is no autosave, and session delete has no confirm. Mute/solo/crossfader/bus FX are never saved.
  • Watermark still there — channel and bus previews are always clean; judge by Master. Removal needs an active subscription.
  • Projector blank — Detect screens, pick a display not badged App, Launch. A blocked pop-up fails silently: allow pop-ups and launch again. The window opens quarter-size in the center of the main screen — click inside it to go fullscreen. Close all open output windows with the toolbar X. If the mix hitchs on Linux, switch the mapper toolbar output control from Canvas to Stream.
  • Calibrating focus — press U inside the output window for a UV grid test pattern.
  • Surface Control or Bus O missing on Master — those draw on mapped surfaces. Switch the preview to a Screen or 3D Stage, or turn on mapper TDM output. For Bus O, set Output Routing to the surface (or All to put it on the mix).
  • No beat — Audio panel → Start capture. Use a loopback device rather than the room mic. Tap tempo (3+ taps) if detection wanders.
  • MIDI missing — Chromium browser, grant access, then assign Clock vs Input per device. Header piano starts MIDI Map: click a control, then move a knob. If a mapping goes dead after switching sessions, re-Learn it.
  • DMX Map does nothing — the header lightbulb needs a signed-in Pro account (it opens signup if you are logged out). Connect a USB-DMX interface on the MIDI / DMX rail, then click a control and move a fader.
  • Can't add or delete a layer — that clip's timeline is armed. Turn Timeline Off first.
  • Rev / PingP unavailable — set Punch In/Out in Fwd, then bake (refresh icon). Re-bake after moving the marks.
  • Fit Playback to Bars needs a BPM — capture audio or tap tempo first.
  • Phone remote won't pair — the phone must be on the same local Wi-Fi as the host (cellular and guest/AP-isolated networks fail). Codes expire after ~5 minutes (regenerate from the Monitor header), and only one remote can be paired — a second device kicks the first. The main app is blocked on phones — open /remote and type the code.
  • Generate blocked — sign in, top up credits, and check the storage bar at the bottom of Library.
  • Install as app missing — use Brave, Chrome, or Edge on a laptop over the live site. Firefox, Safari, and phones can't install it as an app.
  • Wrong browser or device — Brave, Chrome, or Edge on a laptop or desktop for the app. Phones, tablets, Firefox, Safari, and Opera are blocked; the phone remote page is the only exception.
