Four columns — Channels, Clips, Preview, Inspector — plus a resizable timeline dock at the bottom. Each clip holds its layers in a collapse under the pad.
Channels
Header + Channel menu: New Channel, Paste from Clipboard (when a channel is copied).
Per channel: drag handle to reorder, double-click to rename, P freeze, M mute, S solo, the A/B/O bus switch (each click cycles A → B → O), opacity fader, an N FX badge when Post FX are enabled, and a ⋮ menu (Rename / Copy / Delete). O skips Bus A, Bus B, bus FX, and the crossfader. In the inspector, Output Routing chooses On top of all channels (composites over the mix, then Master FX still apply) or a mapped surface (that surface only — pick blend: Normal, Additive, Screen, or Multiply). Surface routing is visible on mapper TDM output, output windows, and 3D Stage previews — not on the flat Master mix.
Pinned below: Master (name, M, opacity only) and Crossfade (the A↔B slider).
Saved vs live-only: freeze, blackout, A/B/O group, opacity, and per-channel Post FX save with the session. Mute, solo, the crossfader, and A/B bus Post FX are performance state and reset on reload.
Clips
Click a pad to make it live (cyan highlight). Selecting a clip in the inspector is not the same as triggering it. Double-click renames. The dot on each pad shows timeline state: gray off, green armed, orange playing, blue paused.
+ Clip menu: New, From Clipboard, and Library (Pro). Pad ⋮ menu: Copy, Rename, Timeline On/Off, Save to Library (Pro), Delete. Library clips store on this device (and in the cloud when signed in). Pasting and inserting deep-clone with fresh IDs.
Use the chevron on a pad to open or close that clip's layers. Clips carry their own blend mode, an optional 3D camera (shown when the clip has a 3D layer), and an optional timeline.
Layers
The layer icon sits next to the clip's ⋮ menu (tooltip: Add layer). Adding a layer opens that clip with layers stacked under the pad. Click a layer to inspect it. Double-click to rename. Layer ⋮: Copy, Rename, Delete.
Free: GLSL Shader, Fractal, 2D Plane (Color / Image), 2D Title Layer, 3D Title Layer, Video Asset File, Surface Control. Pro ($20 USD / month): Mesh Group (3D), Live Camera Feed, AI Layer (Vision), Control Cue (MIDI / DMX). Plus From Clipboard. Unavailable on Master/Crossfade and while the clip's timeline is armed ("Turn off timeline to add or remove layers").
Preview
Three preview modes in the header: Split (channel + master), Solo channel, Solo master. The channel preview is the unmixed bank; selecting Crossfade shows Bus A and Bus B side by side. Master is the full mix and shows the watermark for non-paying accounts — channel thumbs stay clean, which does not mean the projector is clean.
The master preview header has a preview target selector — switch between Master (flat mix), any configured Screen (mapped output with Surface Control and Bus O surface overlays), and 3D Stage (all screens in 3D — drag to rotate, pan, and zoom). Use Screen or 3D Stage to check mapping, Surface Control, and Bus O while you edit.
Pipeline: channels render (with per-channel FX) into Bus A or B → bus FX → crossfader → Master fader + Master Post FX → watermark → program out. Channels set to O skip Bus A/B, bus FX, and the crossfader. On top of all channels lands on the mix before Master FX. A surface destination stays off the mix and draws only on that mapped surface. Blend modes: normal, additive, multiply, screen.
